The North Ada County Fire & Rescue District entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with the Boise City Fire Department in December of 2009. The Joint Powers Agreement allowed the District to leverage its own services with those offered by the Boise Fire Department for cost savings and efficiencies in services to its external customers. Following the Joint Powers Agreement, Boise City Fire is responsible for all personnel issues including recruiting, hiring and training.
